Nice easy 1km swim to get you acclimated with the water conditions on Saturday.

Follow that up with a nice 3mi run on the trails around the boathouse!

run course
Here's the run course map. Points of interest: Along the 1st south stretch you'll find some narrow spots with a steep drop off. Pay attention. Also some concrete slabs that have fallen into disrepair. NBD. As you get to the south of the cove, you're in 'bottom land' It may or may not be muddy. There probably won't be any snakes after the first runner.

Run about half way back north and the hook a U-turn to start heading back uphill. Nothing eventful until you get to the end of Roller Coaster.

*THIS IS IMPORTANT**
There is a large wooden feature that wants to kill you. Even though it it overgrown, take the bypass on the right. Splinters in your butt? Broken arm? Trying to run or slide it isn't going to end well. A couple more trips through the bottom of the ravine and you're at mile two. There will be an unmanned water station about 2.10. Once you're on the fire road, most of the hard stuff is over. This is where you leave it all on the field.
