Refunds Transfers, and Deferals
Refunds
A partial refund of your registration fee, minus the registration fee and USAT one-day fee (as applicable), will be given up 30 days prior to the event, for requests made to [email protected]. No refunds will be given for requests made within 30 days of the event. If the event is canceled due to COVID-related concerns a partial refund, minus the registration fee and USAT one-day fee (as applicable), will be offered. If the event is canceled due to acts of God including weather, refunds will NOT be given.
Transfers
An athlete may transfer their registration up to 14 days prior to the event, by submitting the request to [email protected]. No transfer requests will be granted for requests made less than 14 days before the event.
Deferrals
An athlete may defer their registration to another Tri-OKC event of equal cost within 365 days of the original event. The deferral request must be submitted to [email protected] prior to the event. If an athlete wishes to register for an event more expensive than the deferred event, Tri-OKC will issue a credit in the amount of the original fee (minus the registration fee and USAT one-day fee (as applicable)) to be used for the future event.

Assumption of Risk: Participation in these training sessions is entirely voluntary and at your own risk. The training events are not official TRI-OKC Club events, and TRI-OKC does not assume any responsibility for your safety or well-being during these sessions.
No Liability for Injuries: TRI-OKC, its officers, volunteers, and affiliates, as well as USA Triathlon (USAT), are not liable for any injuries, accidents, or health issues that may occur during your participation in these training sessions. This includes, but is not limited to, injuries sustained while running, cycling, swimming, or participating in any other activities.
No Liability for Property Damage: TRI-OKC and USAT are not responsible for any loss or damage to personal property that may occur during your participation in these training sessions. Participants are responsible for their own belongings.
Independent Participation: These training sessions are conducted independently of TRI-OKC, and any guidance or instruction provided is done so informally. TRI-OKC does not endorse or certify the trainers or their methods.

Cash Awards Policy
TRI-OKC is committed to recognizing the achievements of athletes in our races. To ensure fairness and clarity, we have established the following policy regarding cash awards and prizes.
Main Race Discipline: Each race event will have one main discipline eligible for cash awards. Athletes must be present at awards ceremony. The main discipline will be announced prior to the race and may include: triathlon, duathlon, aquathlon, aquabike.
Cash Award Distribution: The cash awards for the main discipline will be distributed as follows:
Eligible Categories for Cash Awards: Cash awards will be given to the top three finishers in the main discipline in the following categories:
Minimum Participants Requirement: Cash awards will only be distributed if there are more than 20 finishers in each respective category of the main discipline. If a category does not meet this minimum requirement, winners will receive the prizes designated for minor disciplines.
Exclusions: Participants competing in the Clydesdale and Athena categories are not eligible for cash awards.
Other Disciplines: For other disciplines in the race event, and for categories in the main discipline that do not meet the minimum participant requirement, the top three finishers will receive the following prizes:
Race entry must be used within 365 days of issuance. Race entries that are issued using these comp codes cannot be transferred or deferred.
Age Group Winners: TRI-OKC issues certificates for the top three finishers in the USAT age groups for Male, Female, and Nonbinary athletes. These certificates recognize the outstanding performances within each age group category.
